Magic Valley Masonic Trestleboard
News from around the valley about the Masonic family
May 2026
Is it just me? Or is this year just flying by for all brethren? Hardly seems real that we are now approaching our third month back in our building and it is so rewarding to enjoy those surroundings and the results of our efforts! Thank you again to the many brethren in the foreground and in the background who have contributed so much to pulling this all together! The culmination of all these labors will be our Building Rededication on May 16, 2026, Grand Lodge will open at11:30, building will open at
12:00 followed by a public dedication at 1:00 followed with an open house ending at 3:00.
Brother Jeremey Vaughn needs four or five brothers who can help him finish
pulling together the plans for that day. I am in on this, 100%. Who will join us?
The building was well received and praised at our recent El Korah Shrine Ceremonial. Now it is our chance to not only showcase it to all of Idaho Freemasons, but to the general public as a whole and share our message, fraternity and what we offer to a broad portion of the public. Please get involved and help us.
There was a First Degree Initiation scheduled for May 20. There is an apparent schedule conflict for that date with the candidate. Please come to our stated meeting to get the reschedule and update your calendar in general. We love to see as many faces at a meeting as possible. Many things are happening in Blue Lodge, Shrine and all of our appendant masonic bodies.
Lastly, my brothers and I are appealing for more help to keep the Golf Tournament fund raiser moving forward. Please get involved and help us with this one. I hope you are all ready for an active and fun summer fraternally and at our homes! See you soon.
Danny Harkins
Worshipful Master

Twin Falls Lodge #45 is Partnering with St. Luke's Hospital and Local Restaurants
Our Lodge is working with St. Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls on a community support project designed to assist families who are staying in the hospital’s RV sites while their loved one undergoes long-term treatment or diagnostic care. These families often travel from out of town and remain in our community for extended periods, focusing entirely on supporting their family member during a difficult and emotional time.
We are asking local restaurants to consider making an ongoing contribution of gift cards that can be distributed directly to these families through hospital case workers. These gift cards would allow families to step away for a warm meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even just a cup of coffee - without the added burden of grocery shopping or worrying about the cost of dining out during an already
stressful time.
Our goal is simple: to provide moments of relief, comfort, and normalcy while they navigate medical uncertainty.
If you know the owner or general manager of any local restaurants that would like to join in this partnership or have any gift cards you would like to donate please contact me by text or phone at (916) 505-8389 or email me at 1gvoetsch@gmail.com.

HAVE YOU GOT YOUR WINNING TICKET YET?
The Grand Lodge is having a raffle with the drawing to be held at the 2026 annual communication. Like last year, the winner will receive $2,000 cash to purchase a gun (a guy thing), remodel a room in the house, take a trip, or buy a nice gift for someone special. There are only 500 tickets, and each ticket is $20. Contact your district deputy to get yours before they are all sold! Besides the district deputies, the Grand Lodge office, the Scottish Rite office, or the Grand Master has them. You don’t have to be a mason to purchase one or be present to win.
